Commercial Estimating FAQs
Common Questions About Commercial Estimates
What types of commercial projects do you estimate? +
Offices, retail, restaurants, medical, multifamily, mixed-use, warehouses, industrial and publicly funded projects — both ground-up construction and tenant improvements, across all CSI divisions.
How much does a commercial estimate cost? +
Commercial estimates are quoted per project based on size and scope, typically ranging from a few hundred dollars up to $5,000 for large multi-story buildings. You receive a fixed written quote before work begins.
How long does a commercial estimate take? +
Between 1 and 5 working days depending on project size and complexity. Bid-period addendums are incorporated free of charge, and urgent deadlines are accommodated at no extra cost.
Do you work with both GCs and subcontractors? +
Yes — general contractors use us for full multi-division estimates, while subcontractors use us for deep single-trade takeoffs or to verify their own numbers before submission.
What do I need to send for a quote? +
Send your project plans or drawings in PDF format together with the scope of work through our quote form or to Info@westernestimating.com. We reply with a free fixed quote including price and turnaround time; work begins once you approve.
